Ten Dollars

Once there were three men.  One was rich, one had ten dollars, and the other was destitute and starving.  The Lord told the man with the ten dollars to give his money to the rich man.  He refused and with his ten dollars he bought a steak dinner, promptly choked on it and died.  Now there was a rich man, a dead man, and a man left destitute and starving.
Once there were three men.  One was rich, one had ten dollars, and the other was
destitute and starving.  The Lord told the man with the ten dollars to give his money to the rich man.  He refused to do so, but for pity on the starving man, gave it to him.  With the ten dollars the poor man bought a worn out pistol from a local hood and killed his benefactor for any money he might have left.  Now there was a rich man, a dead man, and a starving murderer.
Once there were three men.  One was rich, one had ten dollars, and the other was destitute and starving.  The Lord told the man with the ten dollars to give his money to the rich man.  He quickly obeyed the Lord and the rich man was so moved by the gift that he vowed to help the very next person he found in need, which was, of course, the man destitute and starving.  The poor man was not only given financial help, but also taught how to help himself and become a success.  Now rich, the once starving man “happened” across the man who had obeyed God and gave up his ten dollars.  He then did for the obedient man all he had himself received.  Now there are three rich men, all obeying God.
“Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; a blessing if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: and a curse if you will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God.”  (Deut 11:26-28) Pastor Bobby Norton
