JUST THE WAY IT IS: UNCOMMON THOUGHTS FROM A COMMON MAN

Ronnie Coleman
I have a dog. So does my neighbor. My dog is old and lazy, his is young and
hyper. My dog is small, his is large. They happen to be different colors. Some
would prefer my dog, others would prefer his. But that preference is within us,
they are both the same without their skin. Think about it!!

Ronnie Coleman
I have come to realize that my dog and I have a lot in common. She can't get
off her bed and I can't get off the couch. She doesn't hear very well and neither
do I, although my wife says we both have selective hearing. She (the dog,
not the wife) doesen't like to be bothered at times. Me also! Sometimes she will
growl, although she doesen't mean it. Sometimes I like to growl and I do mean
it! We are both getting old and don't know if we should embrace it or ignore it.
At least she still has her hair! But, listen to this, she responds to unconditional
love and so do I, and so will you!

POLITICAL CHANGE

Does its political system determine America’s social climate or vise versa?  Which was first in our nation’s origin, our political system or our ancestors’ social climate?  History begs the latter, and thus was established a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”  As our nation has become more socially divided and selfishly segmented, our politicians have only reflected our national condition, for, if ours is a government of the people, by the people and for the people, then, as go the people, so goes the government.  In a word, the American political machine is actually a clear reflection of those it serves.  Political change?  Starts with change in “ME!”

JUST THE WAY IT IS: UNCOMMON THOUGHTS FROM A COMMON MAN
Ronnie Coleman

What has happened to my world? I walked there for a time. It does not seem
that long ago. Or that far away. All the people and the places..that made me who I am. They have vanished like a morning mist..
When the sun has warmed the ground. Yet they live on....somewhere deep
inside. All the people and the places. That sowed poetry...in my soul

There was a.man who found a.piece of wood
It was not particularly beautiful. Just a plain piece of wood. Some might say

1 Cor 9:24-27
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

It is easier to pull over and park than to finish the race.  It is easier to surrender the battle
