 Members One of Another

Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

 

It is interesting to me that in the Bible I am using today, the heading for the first eight verses of Romans chapter twelve is “Living Sacrifices”. Now we know the first two verses famously instruct the believer to offer our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God. Hence, the title. The interesting thing to me is that

2023: If Thou Canst Believe

The Holy Spirit’s conviction and challenge to me over the past year or so (like never before), has been to examine the wonderful truths of God’s Word, not only as being specifically directed towards myself (the individual) as well as to the corporate body of Christ, but also in considering the immensity of those truths when allowed to fully manifest themselves by simple belief in and obedience to the One who stands behind those words, and apply

CONTRASTING THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST



FOREWORD


We find interchangeable words in the Scriptures such as Elder, Bishop and Presbyter. However, such is not the case with Kingdom and Church. The institutions these two words identify are vastly different. The following is a Scriptural study of some of those differences.


I Jesus came preaching the Kingdom a present reality (Matt 3:1-2; Matt 4:17; Luke 17:20-21; Matt 21:43); Jesus vowed to build the Church not yet in existence (Matt 16:18).

How was your 2022? Was the “year” good to you? I certainly hope & pray that each of you can truly look back and say that it was a “good time” in your life, meaning that you drew closer to the Lord than ever before, that the fruit of the Spirit is increasing in your life, that you are indeed becoming more & more like Christ Jesus, and all to God’s glory. In the “natural”, I can certainly understand
