Matt 6:22-23

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.                                                                                                 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Jesus, a man in whom all is light and thus no shadow is in him, and yet, concerning light and darkness, good and evil and the condition of man, he knows of that which he speaks as well as knowing the minds of the attendees of the sermon on the mount (or any mount), He is thus able to sermonize that which is to be sermonized and

do that which must be done for the ultimate benefit of mankind. This he would not have known if his own human mind was not made single and untainted beyond any shadow of a doubt. When he says to make thine eye single he is telling us to do as he has done. In unity there is no duality, nor could there ever be, and yet, in the fallen state, it appears the other way around.

Paul tells us to awaken and not be asleep like the damned. To make thine eye single is to awaken to the true nature of light and of God and to transcend duality.  Then can one come bearing gifts of spirit.  Alas, the dust is heavy on our eyes.  Nonetheless, for those who have eyes, let them see the light. The word plays out in an endless ocean-like field of vibration and sound.  How wondrous, like a rainbow painting.

Vibration is the source of life, as well as its living and dying in the worldly sense.  The great play put on by the only producer, God most high!  Alas, we hear as we are, not as it is, and thus we are deaf to the divine symphony that is ongoing.  For those who have ears, let them hear the gospel and the vibrations of the angels wings.

All the world is indeed a stage.  When we fully appreciate and open our hearts to the world and all of it's follies, then we can shine and manifest love and light in its shabby playhouse.  Oh lord, help me shut down my own misguided production and close the ego's playhouse and let me gain entrance to thy mansion.

 Lord make my eyes single!
